about
The music was developed over a couple of years from a series of simple riffs and the need to prove that I could write a simple rock song. The guitar was written separately and the idea to put them together made for a challenging experiment to write the rest of the song around the guitar solo. I think it was a success. Hopefully you think so as well.
The lyrics were created from the desire to write a catchy song about a great human being: Nikola Tesla. Mostly regarding his obscurity from the mainstream narrative and how many amazing contributions that this man had. The major pull for me was the technologies that were denied to us and that would have transformed this world for the greater good. His invention called the Wardencleff Tower would have given humanity free wireless electricity and wireless communication more than 100 years ago. But once the concept of free electricity and communication was realized by JP Morgan and fellow investors the funding was cut and the tower was torn down. Tesla is not alone in this story, in fact, many great people who created great marvels and were denied in their pursuit. So, this song is a dedication to all those great minds whom tried to make humanity better and were denounced, destroyed or disregarded. Thank you!!!
lyrics
Empty Throne
He died alone,
Cursed to an empty throne,
Why don’t you know him?
Or the things he’s done?
I’ll tell you why,
Oh, I’ll tell you why,
Because people like him,
Are in short supply,
Educated,
Demonstrated,
Vindicated,
Assimilated,
But the Wardenclyffe,
Fell to the deaf,
When the “Powers that Be”,
Give nothing for free,
But he did not care,
To be the world’s first billionaire,
What he wanted to share,
Was something so rare,
Free energy, for you and me,
Bind their fist on these old great scientists,
Because the peer review ain’t got a clue,
Oh, what to do?
Tesla, Nikola
Well the information creek,
Has sprung a leak,
They seek the week,
And threaten the meek,
To stay in your box,
Or will plummet all your stocks,
Discredit, misread it,
Or they’ll just plain kill ya,
Because there’s no finance for any science,
To improve our lives, just to sharpen their knives
It’s no mystery why they faded out from history,
And this how I feel about that shit,
So, bind their fists on these old great scientists, ya
Because there's no finance for any science to improve our lives,
Just to sharpen their knives,
It's no mystery why they faded from history,
